attribute NC_GLOBAL history String This is based on the JPL monthly MUR SST v4.1 daily climatology (2003-2014) downloaded from ftp://mariana.jpl.nasa.gov/mur_sst/tmchin/seasonal/ .
The daily anomaly is created from the climatology and SST data which is downloaded daily from ftp://podaac-ftp.jpl.nasa.gov/allData/ghrsst/data/GDS2/L4/GLOB/JPL/MUR/v4.1/ to NOAA NMFS SWFSC ERD by erd.data@noaa.gov . For leap years, the day 365 climatology was used for day 366.
The data for the most recent 4 days is usually revised everyday. The data for other days is sometimes revised.
This monthly anomaly is a simple mean of the daily anomalies for a given month.
